Banff Day Two

Wow. Took a tour that had us going all over the place and it was all so incredibly beautiful. I have run out of words to describe the stunning beauty!

I walked about 2/3 of a mile to my pickup spot. Legs and feet are still tired but too bad. At least I knew I'd get to sit on the bus here and there.

Some views from the bus. Not sure why the first one is on its side.

Castle Mountain

i don't remember

We started by crossing into Yoho National Park in British Columbia and driving off the highway to Emerald Lake.

avalanche!

On the way back to the highway we stopped at Natural Bridge which is rocks that have cracked and worn and can be walked across.

couldn't pay me enough to walk out there!

From there we drove back into Banff National Park and stopped for lunch at the village of Lake Louise. While there, I spoke with school peeps and I GOT THE SPECIAL ED JOB!!! Staying at BBHS, just changing departments but I'm super excited!

Now a very happy camper, we drove up (down?) to Lake Louise. Guide said it is the 2nd most photographed spot in Canada. Niagara Falls is probably #1? Idk. Maybe I'll look it up someday but not now. I'm too tired!

From there, we drove further in/up to Moraine Lake. This road is only open in the summer and only to tour busses. Guide said it only opened 26 days ago. The best viewpoint was on the top of "rock pile". I did it but boy were the legs not excited about all the steps to get there. But wow was it pretty from there!

it wasn't far

Our last stop was Johnston Canyon for a hike to the falls. We didn't have time to go to the upper falls (well not at my speed!) but lower was beautiful!

I just didn't look down

On the walk back to my hotel, I stopped at the Canadian Brewhouse to get food and watch "the Blue Jays" game which happened to also be the Astros game. I had a drink and dessert to celebrate the new job :) Dinner was a very good poutine but I didn't get a picture of it.

Luckily tomorrow's bike tour is on an e-bike. There is a hike too though. The legs and feet will just have to deal with it!!
